SLIX.IO

Terms of Use

For Slix.io: Cut & Conquer (Android package com.slixio.game) and this website.
Effective 18 August 2026 · Last updated 18 August 2026 · Version 1.0

Plain English, in the order that matters: the game is free, purchases are handled by Google Play, virtual coins and gems are not money, your progress lives on your phone and nowhere else, and nothing here takes away a consumer right the law gives you.

1. Who this agreement is with

These terms are an agreement between you and Andrii Posia, an independent app developer based in Ukraine (“we”, “us”), covering the Slix.io game, this website, and anything we publish through them.

By installing or playing the game you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install it — and if you have already installed it, uninstalling it ends the agreement.

How we handle data is a separate document: the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Google Play has its own terms with you as well, and where the game is distributed through Google Play, Google’s terms govern that distribution and the payment itself.

2. Age

You must be at least 13 years old to play, or older where your country sets a higher minimum age for this kind of service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only play, and may only make purchases, with the consent of a parent or guardian — and by making a purchase you confirm you have it.

The game is not designed for children and is not part of Google Play’s Designed for Families programme.

3. Your licence to play

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play the game on devices you own or control, for your own private, non-commercial entertainment.

That is a licence, not a sale: the game and everything in it stays ours (see section 12). The licence lasts as long as you keep the app installed and keep to these terms.

4. What you must not do

Playing well, sharing clips, and telling people the game exists are, obviously, encouraged.

5. Purchases

The game is free to download and free to finish. It also offers optional one-time purchases: coin packs, gem packs, a starter bundle, and Remove ads.

6. Virtual coins, gems and items

Coins, gems, characters, trails, territory colours, backgrounds and boosts are licensed virtual items inside the game, not property and not money. Specifically:

7. Refunds

Because Google Play takes the payment, refunds go through Google:

8. Your progress and your device

Read this one before you buy anything. This version of the game has no cloud save and no account. Your campaign progress, coins, gems and unlocked cosmetics are stored on the device that earned them.

9. Advertising

The game is paid for by advertising: a short ad between some levels, and optional rewarded ads you may choose to watch in exchange for another try or an early return from pause. The Remove ads purchase removes the first kind.

Ads are supplied by Google AdMob and their content is not ours. We do not choose, endorse or vouch for what any advertiser says, sells or links to, and anything you buy from an advertiser is between you and them. If an ad is broken, offensive or misleading, tell us what it was and we will report it to Google.

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you are asked for advertising consent before any ad loads. Refusing means ads without personalisation, not a locked game. See the Privacy Policy.

10. Clips and challenge codes

The game can render your run as a short vertical video, and produce a challenge code that encodes the region, the map layout and the score to beat.

11. Updates, changes and the end of service

We may update the game to fix bugs, balance difficulty, add or retire content, or keep up with Android and Google Play requirements. Some updates are required for the game to keep working, particularly where ads or purchases are involved.

We may also stop supporting the game entirely. If we do, we will say so on this site, give reasonable notice where we can, and stop selling anything in the app first. Because the game runs on your device rather than our servers, an already-installed copy will generally keep working with what you have already unlocked; downloaded backgrounds, live temperatures, ads and purchases would stop.

12. Who owns what

The game — its code, art, characters, level design, generated music, interface, the name Slix.io, the Cut & Conquer title and the mark — belongs to us and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. Nothing in these terms transfers any of it to you beyond the licences in sections 3 and 10.

Third-party components are used under their own licences, credited on the game’s About screen. City photographs are used under the licences of their respective sources, credited in the app. Android, Google Play and Firebase are trademarks of Google LLC; we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google.

If you believe something in the game infringes your rights, write to us with the detail and we will act on it.

13. Third-party services

The game relies on Google Play (distribution and payments), Google AdMob (advertising), Google Firebase (analytics, crash reporting and configuration), Open-Meteo (city temperature) and our own image host (city backgrounds). Those services have their own terms, they can change or fail independently of us, and we are not responsible for their availability. The campaign itself is playable without any of them.

14. Disclaimer

The game is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, free of every bug, compatible with every Android device, or fit for any particular purpose.

Consumer law in many countries gives you guarantees that cannot be excluded — that digital content must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. Nothing here excludes those, and if this section conflicts with them, they win.

15. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, this section does not affect your statutory rights.

16. Termination

You can end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the game. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these terms — cheating, tampering with purchases or ads, or redistributing the app. Where it is reasonable and possible, we will warn you first. Sections 6, 12, 14, 15 and 17 survive the end of the agreement.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes may be brought before the competent courts of Ukraine.

If you are a consumer resident in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland or anywhere else with mandatory consumer protection: this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of your own country’s consumer law, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence.

Before any of that, please just email us. Nearly everything that looks like a dispute in a one-person game studio turns out to be a bug or a purchase that did not land, and both are faster to fix than to argue about.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the game changes. The version and dates at the top say which text is current. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this site; continuing to play after a change means you accept the new version. If you do not accept it, uninstall the game — and if a change materially reduces something you paid for, write to us and we will make it right.
